Our Chula Vista Operations
Chula Vista Quarry operates with the highest health, safety, and environmental stewardship standards. We work hard to meet or exceed all local, state, and federal regulations and standards. While we are permitted to operate on a 24-hour day/7 day-a-week basis, based on current demand, we generally are in full operation between 3:30 am and 4 pm, ship material from sun-up to sun-down, and perform maintenance on our equipment in the overnight hours. We occasionally ship material overnight when construction project owners deem nighttime work safer or less impactful to the community.
As a hard rock quarry, blasting is routinely necessary to break the rock into manageable pieces. We are permitted to blast between 10 am and 4 pm. If you would like to be on the notification list, please sign up for updates.
